This place is for Mexican kitchen lovers! The location is divided into two places – One Michelin Star restaurant and more easygoing restaurant! First place in my list I’ll give to easygoing part 🙂 – Niño Viejo! I love to eat outside so I’ll suggest you also to book table under the sky. The food here is so delicious and interesting;)

This place is for real gourmet! And don’t forget to make a reservation much before!

It’s not the restaurant for the date it’s just super easygoing place for the fish lover! The price and the quality are top level! First you choose what you want, then you’ll tell the way you want it to be cooked, after you’ll go to the bar and order a drink plus receive your number. In a few minutes they will start to call your number!

And here is the place for those who loves paelia! I want to say that’s super touristic place and it’s always full! But paelia is very good and especially I love their kitchen! Ten portion can be prepared at their divided cooker at once and it looks so cool! Also the location is great as you’ll fine this restaurant right on the beach side! So after beach it’s the best place for lunch!

One day in Bogota!

One Day in Bogota! Anastasiia Masiutkina D'Ambrosio travel blog

Colombia! I wanted to visit this country one year ago but unfortunately I forgot that I need visa 🙂 So I got my “green ticket” six month later in Italy (as I’ve been living there for a while) and Colombian embassy gave it to me only for the period I asked in my form and not even one day more!

Important to know: In 2016 president of Colombia managed to find the agreement between government and FARC guerillas. So the conflict which lasted 50 years finally went to the end! Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos even got Nobel Peace Prize 2016 for this historic deal! And tourists started to go more often to this amazing country.

This time I wanted to visit beautiful city Cartagena but it was no direct flight so I decided to fly through the capital of Colombia Bogota and to spend full day there.

Bogota is the biggest city of Colombia but one day will be more then enough to visit the most interesting and safe touristic places.

The first stop I made in Monseratte Mountain which is 3150m about the sea level. You can reach the top by walking or by funicular train.

From the top you’ll find a lot of spots with an amazing panoramic views to the whole city Bogota and visit beautiful Monastery!

Also there is a small market where you can buy a lot of souvenirs and drink coca tea.

When I’ve been walking on the top I found out something crazy! First I saw a lot of trees with an amazing white flowers and decided to check the smell but when i was almost near the tree one local man almost pushed me away from it! It turned out that the most dangerous drug scopolamine is made from this Borrachero tree flowers! The drug look like white powder and can be added to any food or just be blown in the face. After this the person will simply become zombie. To smell fresh flowers is also very dangerous as the person will have strong hallucinations and feel terrible! But what was shocking is that these trees are everywhere even in botanical garden and it’s impossible to find this information till somebody tell you! So be careful!

The next stop was the most beautiful and historic district La Candelaria.

Graffiti is an integral part of the culture in Bogota and in this area you’ll find the most beautiful ones! It’s also possible to have graffiti tour around the capital!

Also you’ll find there churches, cathedrals, beautiful villas and boutiques but the heart of Bogota is Bolivar square named due to the first president of Colombia! Also you’ll see there the Presidential palace.

For lunch I went to the local nice restaurant “De nuestra Tierra” in the same district. It was suggested by few Colombians and now I can suggest it also to you! Fruits in Colombia are so delicious so I suggest to take fresh juice everywhere.

And I simply can’t live now without grenadine fruit! :)) I’m looking for it everywhere :))

Also you should try their local dish “tamales”. It’s corn mass wort the meat of rabbit or chicken, eggs and vegetables packed inside of banana leaf.

That’s interesting to know: Sadly everybody knows that Colombia is famous by exporting “white drug” but not a lot of people know that this country is number two in the world (after Nederland) by exporting flowers! Roses are everywhere in Bogota 🙂

And if you decided to stay one night in Bogota I would recommend you to stay at JW Marriott hotel and to visit all the restaurants that located there! The quality and service are amazing especially compared with the prices!
