Balenciaga has announced that after 99 year history on fashion house, it will put on its first-ever men’s runway show.
The new creative director of Balenciaga Demna Gvasalia, who joined the fashion house in October as Alexander Wang’s successor, decided to import some great changes to the brand. The management of the label revealed yesterday that they are preparing to hold the first-ever menswear runway show in Paris for the spring 2017 season.
“The show will debut the masculine vision of Balenciaga’s new artistic director Demna Gvasalia,” the company said. It should be noted that this statement became a big surprise for fashion players, considering that the other brands follow to an industry trend of combining men’s and women’s shows.
So, how designer is going to surprise the audience we will see in two months. The Balenciaga men’s show is set to take place during Paris Fashion Week: Men’s on June 22.
