October and November are extremely busy tourist months for the region of Alba. Why you ask? Well it’s all because of white truffles! For those that aren’t really familiar with these delicacies, they are mushrooms that grow underground, look like dirty potatoes but have an astounding smell and taste!
This tasty chocolate needs to be grated, and then gets put on dishes like Risotto, Tartar from fresh meat or Eggs!
I’m really lucky to live only 2 hours away by car from this region, visiting it during the prime truffle season for a weekend or two is a must do! Since I’m generous, I’m going to share some interesting information about the different tasty restaurants where white truffles are served! Here’s one of the first ones – La Luna Nel Pozzo!
