Soon or later every person should visit New York! As I think that this is the only one city that bring together so many cultures and mentalities that you will feel like you’ve traveling all around the world in a one week! Im writing one week as it should be minimum days you stay in NY if you really want to feel what is it to be New Yorker!
I will write one of my favorite walking tour around NY but you should be really comfortable with your shoes to do it! So the starting point is Central Park! You can decide by yourself if you want to go for a run or to have small waking tour around the pond that is located just at beginning of the park! After its just better to have a small snack and here my suggestion is the place at Hotel Plaza Foodcourt – “Tartinery”, order quinoa salad with lobster or lobster tartine ? Next step is 5th avenue! Start to walk down watching amazing vitrines of such shops as Bergdorf Goodman and Sacks 5th avenue (watching vitrines as it’s not a shopping tour so you can’t enter the shops:)))!)
On the street 46 just turn right and go till Broadway! So here is it! Times Square! Huge screens, million people, Broadway shows 24/7! AMAZING!
And keep walking Broadway! Just on the street 28 don’t forget to turn right and to go till 10th Ave. Here you’ll find the best walking park in whole NY! High Line Park! It is built on a historic freight rail line which was closed in 1980! Fully transformed into amazing place to walk, to have sun and feel like you are somewhere else but definitely not in the middle of huge megapolis! Here is the place to have some rest before keeping our walking tour! Really exclusive place! 2.33 km long this park will bring you to Meatpacking district! So poor not long time ago it becomes one of the most expensive part of New York! Fancy and expensive restaurants, bars, night clubs and fashion boutiques.. all these definitely makes it the best place to spend your evenings in NY!
On the street 14 it’s time to go down from the High Line and to go for a lunch in Chelsea Market! There is so many places inside of it to grab something but for the people who loves seafood I would definitely suggest “Lobster place”! Unbelievable choice of any seafood product and mega delicious! Yammy :))
Our next destination is Soho! We should go down and left till we reach some streets like Prince street, Spring Street or Broome street. That is Soho! Before It has being known thanks to many artist’s loft and art galleries. Now it’s more famous for its variety of trendy boutiques and famous international brand shops.
After Soho just back to Broadway as we are close to our last point – Brooklyn Bridge!
And here is the time to visit Starbucks! I have some memories with this place so for me it’s not only famous coffee 😉 Try cold green tea latter – it’s so delicious! And keep walking the Broadway till Warren str and turn left to cross Steve Flanders Square! In a few minutes you’ll see the entrance to the one of the most beautiful bridges – Brooklyn Bridge! Walk a little bit far then the middle of it and watch right – you’ll see the Statue of Liberty! Here is our last point as after you’ll find yourself in Brooklyn and this is different tour that I’ll try to do next time!
I’m pretty sure that you’ll enjoy this tour and it makes you feel like you know everything in this city! But it just make you feel like this as there so many places to visit! ;)) Have a good time in one of my favorite city!
