So we are on time to meet sunset in Salar de Uyuni!
Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosí and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes and is at an elevation of 3,656 meters. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness.
I was really shocked to realize that I’m fully surrounded by salt! All the sunset colors were reflected in this vast salt desert! At this moment I simply couldn’t imagine what ill see next day…
Here I really want to draw your attention to my hotel for that night! The name of it is “Luna Salada”. It was fully made of salt! Fully!!! Walls, tables, beds – e v e r y t h i n g! I even licked the walls to check! This hot was so cute and the service is amazing! At that moment it was really best hotel in all area!
