Who saw the white truffle?:)) – this is the way how almost all the mobile calls are starting between white truffle hunters in Italian region Alba. This season is so bad harvest of white truffle! And it is so bad that the last year price of 100 euro per one hundred gram rose to 400 euro! And even this price doesn’t guarantee quality truffle flavor! But nobody will feel this situation (except the price of course) in the Italian restaurant Guido de Costigliole!
May be they do have special and very experienced hunter and super experienced dogs!? As already at the entrance of restaurant you will feel such a flavor of white truffle that nothing will stop you to cross the threshold! May be that’s why Guido de Costigliole owning one Michelin star!!!
The place where this restaurant is located is special as its seventeenth-century monastery. From 1997 it started to be very famous like one of the best SPA resort in Piemonte area! So if you also book the room in this hotel and there is no need anymore to drive back from the restaurant – just order the bottle of red local vine to enjoy this evening at one million percent!
In the restaurant you can choose the truffle for yourself! The waiter will come with the weigher and weight your truffle and after only you will decide how much to grate the truffle on you your dish! At the end of the dinner will appear again the waiter and will weight and minus the peace of the truffle you didn’t eat!
Every dish was tasty by itself but the most local and I can call it even antic dish was “Agnolotti al tovagliolo” that were served inside of the towel! And this one of the best dish to be combined with the truffle!
